RURAL OUTREACH CLINICS:

Through Rural Civil Legal Services (CLS), Center for Civic Values (IOLTA), and United Way grants, SCLO performs community outreach providing free legal services to the residents of Sandoval, Valencia and Torrance counties. Each month, attorneys visit two or three senior centers in these outlying areas, where a brief legal services presentation is offered, followed by a legal clinic/workshop. Community members are encouraged to bring their individual legal questions, and they are able to receive full legal consultations at the clinics. Where appropriate, SCLO will open cases and initiate full legal representation. Rural seniors in these Central New Mexico counties are also encouraged to call or write SCLO to initiate a legal consultation. In addition to performing outreach at the senior centers, SCLO has also accepted invitations to participate in community awareness events sponsored by rural churches. The geographic area encompassed by these three counties is quite large, stretching from Moriarty and Estancia to Mountainair, through the Manzano Mountains to Belen, Los Lunas, and all the way from Rio Rancho, Bernalillo, Jemez, and Pena Blanca to Cuba.

Call SCLO at 505-265-2300 for more information and to obtain specific dates, times, and locations of these rural presentations and clinics.
